Welcome to my web site. I hope you will buy and enjoy my book, The Horse Show Mom's Survival Guide which I wrote after spending many years on the road with my now 16 year-old-daughter, Chetana.
I spent many, many, hours in those early days trying to make sense of this non-sensical horse show world: obscure rules, outrageous expenses, freezing venues and lousy food! After writing The Horse Show Mom column for Practical Horseman, I was asked by the Lyons Press to put together a book that would address these and other issues for other moms (and dads), and not just in the hunter jumper world. I met many wonderful people and learned alot about eventing, dressage, and the Western breeds. Most of all, I learned that although the rules are different in each discipline, the Horse Show Mom and Dad experience is pretty much the same:exhilirating watching the kids manage their mounts, worrisome when accidents happen, frustrating when they are not reaching the goals they want, and expensive, expensive, expensive! And fun, too, as we make new friends in the horse show world and share our common adventures.
